A couple face child neglect charges after their 11-year-old daughter gave birth at home with no medical help, with investigators finding she hadn’t been to the doctor for over a year

A mother and her husband have been arrested after authorities say their 11-year-old daughter gave birth at home without ever seeing a doctor during her pregnancy.
Cherie Walker, 33, and Dustin Walker, 34, of Muskogee County, Oklahoma, were taken into custody on felony child neglect charges earlier this month. Investigators allege the girl, who was 36 weeks pregnant, had not received medical care in more than a year before delivering a baby on August 16.
Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson told reporters the case was “extremely disturbing,” adding: “This child is traumatised. She gave birth at home without medical assistance… this will be her life for the rest of her life.. . Continue..Reading. .
