A 13-year-old girl in Delta State has exposed her 43-year-old stepfather for constantly sexually molesting her and impregnating her.
According to the girl who confided in her school principal about the abuse, the man had been molesting her way before she even started her menstruation, prompting the principal to alert local police.+See more details
During an interview with Delta police, the girl revealed that whole thing started on a particular day when a wedding party was going on in their compound.
She revealed that the man called her in and started touching her. She revealed he had his way with her that day.
According to the girl, no one could have heard her if she had shouted because of the noise as a result of the party going on.
Admitting the allegations to the police, the stepfather also said he had been constantly sexually molesting his stepdaughter, and had gotten her pregnant.
He said he eventually bought her abortion pills he saw on Google after he found out that she was pregnant.
The girl’s narration has sparked series of reactions online with many calling for the man’s prosecution.
“I do not trust my female child with just anyone except my mother. Even when I was on the hospital bed and in severe pain, I kept pleading with the doctor to discharge me because I could not bear the thought of leaving my children alone at home.
The devil is always roaming, looking for lives and homes to destroy, and I refuse to allow anyone destroy my child for me. I pray such will never be my portion.
That said, as women, we need to do better. We must build relationships where our children see us as safe spaces and trusted friends, so they can tell us anything and everything without fear.
I always tell my children: “You know I am a Boss Lady. No man can threaten me or silence me. If anything happens, tell me I am here for you. You can tell me anything, anytime.”
