The Nigeria Women Football League(NWFL) has approved Wednesday, 26 November , 2025 as kick-off date for the new season.
The announcement was made at the end of the NWFL’s Annual General Assembly on Wednesday in Port Harcourt.
The NWFL announced that the league will be played in two group formats.
A total of 20 teams will participate in the 2025/26 season.
Defending champions Bayelsa Queens are in Group A, while runners-up Nasarawa Amazons are in Group B.
Sunshine Queens, Castmog Ladies, Imo Queens and Ahudiyannem Queens will make their maiden appearance in the NWFL this season.
