A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari, has called on eligible residents of the state to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

In a statement issued on Monday , Seriki Gambari described voter registration as a “fundamental right” and “a civic responsibility crucial in determining the leadership and direction of Kwara State come 2027.”

He stressed that the exercise offers an opportunity for citizens to influence decisions affecting the state’s development, urging particularly young people who recently attained the voting age of 18 to register.

“Your vote is your voice. Our PVC guarantees that our community’s interests are represented in governance. I appeal to every eligible Kwaran to register so we can build a brighter future for our state,” he said.

Seriki Gambari further reminded those who had lost their PVCs, needed to update their personal details, or wished to transfer their polling units to their current communities to take advantage of the registration window.

He assured that broad participation in the CVR would strengthen democracy and ensure that the voices of Kwara people are heard in shaping the state’s future.
