Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has responded to his former political mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, over what he described as repeated verbal attacks, insisting that his silence should not be taken as weakness.
Speaking on Monday during the official affirmation of Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Kano South in Rano, Governor Yusuf warned that he may be forced to respond if provoked further.
He stressed that his restraint was deliberate and rooted in his commitment to peace in the state.
