Former Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, has emerged as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Borno South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.Continue »

Ndume confirmed this in a statement on Monday after he was returned unopposed through an affirmation process held at the APC primary venue in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The development followed the voluntary withdrawal of his main challenger, Abdullahi Askira, from the race last month, paving the way for Ndume’s emergence as the consensus candidate.
