Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reassess its reward system and increase youth participation in the party’s activities.
Speaking during a today political engagement in Lagos, Fashola questioned the level of involvement of young people in the party’s operations and decision-making processes.
“How many of our children are involved in what we’re doing? How many of our children come to our rallies and campaigns? If it’s important for us, we must make it important to them,” Fashola stated. If You’re Reading From Phoenix Click On Read Original at the top To Read Full Article
The former governor emphasized the need for political leaders to bridge the generational gap within the party by mentoring young members and making them active stakeholders in governance and political mobilization.
Fashola’s comments have stirred renewed debate within APC circles about the party’s internal reward structure and succession planning, as stakeholders continue to push for reforms that would attract more youth into active politics.
