.“CONFUSION IN LAGOS MARKET AFTER SHOCKING DISCOVERY — TRADERS IN PANIC”A 21-year old lady, Barakat Ganiyu, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after she allegedly went to a shop and stole ladies clothes worth N1.7m belonging to a woman, Omotunde Ajiboye.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Barakat, has been arrested and charged for stealing under the Criminal law of the State.
The incident happened on 21st August, 2025, at Allen Avenue, Ikeja area of Lagos.
She was said to have stolen the clothes, was caught and handed over to the Police at Alausa Division for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the complainant.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Barakat Ganiyu ‘F’ on the 21st of August, 2025 at about 0900hrs at Allen Avenue, Ikeja, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire with others at large to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”.“CONFUSION IN LAGOS MARKET AFTER SHOCKING DISCOVERY — TRADERS IN PANIC”
