25 Abducted, 14 Cows Rustled In Night Raid On Turmuzawa Village

No fewer than 25 persons were abducted and 14 cows rustled on Wednesday night when armed assailants stormed Turmuzawa Village in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Residents said the attackers arrived in large numbers at about 11:25 p.m. in the Kotorkoshi District, firing sporadically before moving from house to house and forcing victims into the surrounding bush.

“They came suddenly and overwhelmed the village. Many people ran for safety, but others were taken away, and the cattle were driven into the forest,” a local source told Zagazola Makama

The raid has thrown the agrarian community into fear, with families of the abducted appealing for urgent intervention to secure the release of their loved ones.+full details

Security teams drawn from Operation FANSAN YANMA and other relevant security agencies have launched coordinated operations in the area to rescue the victims and recover the rustled animals.
