A 28-year-old personal assistant, Oluwaleke Osayomi, has been remanded in custody for allegedly stealing and selling premium alcoholic beverages worth N11 million belonging to his employer, Mr. Patrick Osagie, at Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to police investigations, Osagie had entrusted 15 cartons of Casamigos Tequila to Osayomi’s care.
However, the defendant allegedly breached this trust by selling the drinks between June and August 2025 and converting the proceeds to his personal use.
Following a report to the Divisional Police Officer of Dolphin Estate Division, officers arrested Osayomi and charged him before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, sitting at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, on one count of stealing.
Police prosecutor Reuben Solomon told the court that the offence contravenes Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Osayomi pleaded not guilty, and Magistrate N.O. Wahab granted him bail, adjourning the case to 22 August 2025.
He will remain at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
