Former presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has extended words of encouragement to the Super Eagles following their 4-3 defeat on penalties to DR Congo in the World Cup playoff final, LeadNaija News reports.

In a heartfelt message to the team, Obi acknowledged the emotional weight of the loss but urged the players to remain resilient on his post on X. He said: “When you wear the green and white, you carry the heartbeat of the whole nation. I acknowledge the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment you put into every match.”
