The command disclosed the arrest on its Facebook wall on Tuesday evening, giving their names as Mustapha Ibrahim, aged 19 years; Shamsu Rabiu, aged 21 years; Bashar Aliyu, aged 20 years and Abdullahi Umar, aged 19 years.

According to the command, nine months ago, on February 27, 2024, a report was lodged at Bosso Division of the command which indicated that a photographer, Zacchaeus Salawudeen, was attacked in his residence, robbed and stabbed to death.
Since then, the command had been on the trail of the assailants and after investigations were carried out, the four young men were arrested by the Crack Squad Unit of the command at River Basin area of Minna, the state capital.
The command wrote: “During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, as they narrated that on the same date, they were discussing within the area and they heard that Zaccheaus received a contribution of a huge amount of money, hence they mobilized to his residence at midnight, attacked and robbed him of N95,000.
“They felt disappointed and believed that the deceased lied to them about the amount, and one of them known as Danladi, presently at large, stabbed the deceased with a knife in the stomach.”

It was also gathered that during their arrest, two knives, five wraps of substance suspected to be Indian hemp, alcoholic drinks, matches, among others, were recovered from them.
