Tinubu Hasn’t Shortchanged the North — Tunde Rahman

Kindly Share This Story:

Presidential aide Tunde Rahman has dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu is neglecting Northern Nigeria.

Writing in ThisDay, Rahman countered remarks by NNPP leader Rabiu Kwankwaso and Bashir Dalhatu, saying over half of the 2024/2025 capital budget is allocated to Northern projects, including the Abuja–Kano Expressway, Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway, and Kano–Maradi Railway.

Rahman noted Tinubu’s pre-election promises on agriculture, education, and infrastructure for the North, adding that security has improved under NSA Nuhu Ribadu.

He argued that many of the region’s challenges stem from past neglect by its own leaders, not the current administration.
