Actress Shine Rosman has expressed concern over what she describes as the alarming normalisation of sexual harassment in Nigeria, especially in public spaces in Lagos.
Speaking during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, the actress claimed that har+ssment has become so frequent that it is often ignored or treated as a normal occurrence, particularly in busy areas like Yaba.
She criticised the lack of accountability and questioned the safety of women in the country, arguing that public inaction could encourage more severe forms of abuse in private settings.
According to her:
“Do you know how bad sexual harassment is in Lagos. Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately.
Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.
