Police in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana, have foiled an attempt by a 21-year-old lady, Anita Amoah, to smuggle suspected illegal drugs into a police cell for her detained boyfriend, Richard Acquah.
According to police reports, officers at the Ashaiman Police Station discovered four tablets of suspected narcotic substances, identified as “Timaking” or “Red,” concealed inside a pie brought to the station by Amoah for her boyfriend.
Investigations revealed that Acquah, who was already in custody, allegedly contacted his girlfriend from inside the cell using a smuggled phone.
