Telecommunications users across Nigeria have started accessing emergency airtime again after major operators quietly reactivated airtime lending services.

The development follows a court order that temporarily stopped the enforcement of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission) Digital, Electronic, Online or Non-Traditional Consumer Lending (DEON) Regulations 2025.
