The Taraba State Government says its aggressive internal revenue reforms have effectively blocked leakages and exposed fraudulent syndicates operating within the state’s tax system.

To reinforce this financial sanitisation, the State Board of Internal Revenue has held a major sensitisation roadwalk across the capital.

The campaign aims to educate the public on local tax responsibilities and the latest fiscal reforms introduced by the federal government.

The sensitization walk filled the streets of Jalingo.

Officials targeted major commercial hubs, engaging directly with business owners and explaining the economic impact of timely tax compliance.

At the Government House, Governor Agbu Kefas, through his representative, pledged full state backing for automated, transparent revenue tracking.

State Internal Revenue Chairman Jeremiah Faransa spoke on the achievements so far, noting that the reforms have closed critical financial loopholes.

Officials have also warned the public against illegal tax practices while educating traders on how to avoid illegal multiple taxation.

Residents have been urged to report any official demanding cash or personal account transfers to the appropriate authorities.
