Talented actress Regina Daniels has faced a barrage of criticism from online users after she took to social media to advocate for peaceful protests.
This comes after the “EndBadGovernance” protest on August 1st, where citizens gathered to express their discontent with the state of the nation. The protest went south in some parts of the country with angry citizens looting government properties which subsequently resulted in government intervention.
However, in a video on IG, Regina Daniels shared her thoughts on the protest, urging demonstrators to maintain peace and order. However, her comments sparked a heated debate, with many netizens expressing their disapproval and disappointment in her stance.
Captioning the video, she wrote: “WE ALL PRAY FOR A BETTER NIGERIA 🙏”
Regina Daniels’ comment section was flooded with negative reactions, as users lambasted her for what they perceived as an attempt to undermine the protest’s purpose. Many felt that her call for peaceful protests was an insincere attempt to appease the government, rather than genuinely supporting the people’s demands for change.
