The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly criticised the proposed salary hike for Nigeria’s political office holders, calling it tone-deaf and an insult to the suffering Nigerian people.
The planned review by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) would grant substantial pay increases to the President, Vice President, governors, and other top officials.
The ADC argued that the proposal comes at a time when millions of citizens are battling inflation, soaring fuel prices, and an inadequate minimum wage.
