Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has relieved all political aides in Ondo State of their duties with immediate effect, as part of efforts to enhance governance and service delivery.

Those affected by the decision include Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants attached to the governor.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing aides for their contributions to the development of the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.

The statement added that the move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen coordination within the administration and inject fresh capacity into governance.

According to the government, plans are underway to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of the state.
