American Rapper Granberry Jr., Popularly Known As DDG Explain Reason For Relocate To Lagos

According to Daily Trust, American rapper and YouTuber Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has hinted at the possibility of relocating to Lagos or London due to growing dissatisfaction with life in the United States.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, DDG expressed his concerns, stating, “America lowkey not it no more ngl… might have to move to London or Lagos.” His remark comes as Los Angeles faces devastating wildfires, which have claimed at least 16 lives and destroyed over 12,000 structures within a week.

Health officials in Los Angeles have urged residents to remain indoors as hazardous wildfire smoke blankets the city. According to Dr. Anish Mahajan from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, “The fine particles irritate the nose and throat, causing sore throats and headaches.”

DDG’s post reflects a broader sentiment among some U.S. residents exploring alternatives amid increasing natural disasters and socio-political challenges. Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, has grown in appeal for its vibrant entertainment industry and Afrobeat music influence, while London remains a popular destination for global celebrities.

The rapper, who has built a significant following as both a musician and content creator, has not confirmed any plans but continues to engage fans with updates on his lifestyle and career.

DDG’s musings have sparked conversations about the growing interest of international artists in African cities like Lagos, which is gaining recognition as a global cultural hub.Tap Here for the Full Story
