The husband convinced his wife who was also living in Australia with him to travel to Nigeria under the claim that his parents were celebrating an anniversary and wanted her presence.
Upon her arrival in Africa, the situation reportedly took a dramatic turn.
Sources claim the man confiscated his wife’s personal documents and mobile phone shortly after they arrived.
He returned to Australia afterwards, leaving her stranded in Africa. Not long after, his family moved to formally return her dowry to officially announce the end of the marriage.
