A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former member of the Presidential Campaign Council, Comrade Edwin Uhara, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating former Chief of Army Staff and ex-Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd), for an ambassadorial role.

In a statement made available to LeadNaija on Thursday, Uhara described Dambazau as a “foreign policy expert” with the experience and capacity to effectively represent Nigeria’s national interests abroad without triggering diplomatic tensions.

He noted that the retired general, who also holds the traditional title of Baraden Kano, brings to the table not only solid academic qualifications in International Relations but also extensive administrative and diplomatic exposure.

The APC chieftain further urged Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s policies and ongoing reforms aimed at delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthening Nigeria’s global standing.

The statement was signed by Comrade Edwin Uhara, a United Nations-trained negotiator and former member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
