Suspected bandits have reportedly launched a nighttime attack on the residence of Imam Abubakar Muhammad Digare, Chief Imam of JIBWIS in Digare town, abducting several members of his household.

The incident occurred in Digare town, Gwana District, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, where the attackers allegedly stormed the cleric’s home under the cover of darkness and forcefully took multiple victims, including his wives and daughters, to an unknown destination.

The development has sparked fear within the local Muslim community and heightened concerns over the persistent security challenges affecting parts of the country.
