Barca Set For Vitor Roque Transfer | Palmeiras Eyes €25M Deal Amid Antony's Impact at Betis

According to Sky news, FC Barcelona is reportedly preparing to transfer Vitor Roque back to Brazil, with Palmeiras nearing an agreement for the 19-year-old striker, as per Spanish media outlets. After initially being a frequent starter at the club, his involvement has diminished, especially following the arrival of his Brazilian compatriot, Antony, from Manchester United.

In recent matches, Roque has only managed to accumulate 58 minutes of playtime across his last three league appearances. Throughout the season, he has participated in 32 games, contributing seven goals and two assists.

Reports suggest that Palmeiras’ president, Leila Pereira, seeks to finalize the transfer swiftly, issuing a 48-hour deadline before the closure of the Brazilian transfer window on February 28. If the deal is completed, it will resemble the arrangement made with Real Betis earlier in the season, with Palmeiras expected to pay €25 million for Roque.

Additionally, Barcelona will retain 20 percent of any future transfer profits related to the player, ensuring a continued financial connection between the two clubs.

Palmeiras views Roque as an integral component of their squad and is not interested in a loan arrangement since they are eager to secure him on a permanent basis. Roque originally joined Barcelona from Athletico Paranaense in a deal worth €30 million, along with potential bonuses.

While Barcelona appears hesitant to lose the young talent permanently, they also recognize the need to give him more opportunities to play, which he currently lacks at Betis. Nevertheless, the Catalan club may still see potential for his development moving forward.Tap Here To Read Full Details
