The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has debunked reports that a suit has been filed against its National Executive Council (NEC) by the governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed.
The director general of PDP Governors’ Forum, Emmanuel Agbo said such report is false and malicious.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Agbo noted the report was pushed by some unscrupulous elements focused on tarnishing the image of the party and the governor.
His words, “This is to emphatically state that the Chairman of the PDP-GF and governor of Bauchi State does not in any way, either by proxy or himself, have anything to do with the said suit.
“For emphasis, our teeming supporters and all Nigerians are urged to ignore the false claim that the Chairman of the Forum or any of its members instigated any legal proceedings about the above,” Agbo noted.
He further emphasized on the need for unity among party members to face detractors bent on ruining what the party has built in years.
He also called on PDP members to ignore such report and work toward actions and utterances that would strengthen the party.
