Miss Universe Nigeria Mitchel Ihezue is gearing up to relinquish her crown. She made the announcement on her Instagram account recently.
According to her, she will be handing over her crown to another queen on August 31, 2024.
The beauty queen said that the memories and pride of representing Nigeria as Miss Universe 2023 will remain with her forever. Mitchel Ihezue wrote:
“On August 31st, I’ll be passing my crown, but the memories and pride of representing my country as Miss Universe 2023 will stay with me forever.”
In her farewell note, she appreciated all the people who made her reign a memorable one.
The beauty queen added that she is thankful for the opportunities her reign brought her way, noting that she was given the privilege twice. Mitchel Ihezue added:
“Grateful to have experienced this incredible journey twice! Super thankful for the opportunities it’s brought my way. Counting down my final days as Miss Universe 2023. Thank you for the love and support!”
Mitchel Ihezue triumphed over 36 other talented contestants to secure the coveted Miss Universe Nigeria crown at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
She represented Nigeria at the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant held in El Salvador on November 18, 2023.
Meanwhile in mid July, Miss Universe Mitchel lhezue made the news once more following her flamboyant marriage to billionaire Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.
The beauty queen became the centre of attention after her husband gifted her another variant to the lush car she received as a wedding present months back.
Mitchel shared a video of herself receiving her gift in the comfort of their home and revealed how surprised she was by it.
