Oseloka Obi, UK-based actor and son of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has firmly denied rumours linking him to homosexuality after viral photos sparked speculation on social media.
The controversy began earlier this week when images circulated online showing Oseloka in the company of another man, which many commentators interpreted as evidence of a romantic relationship.
The photos quickly trended across multiple platforms, with political opponents using the claims to target his father ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In an audio statement released online, Oseloka described the allegations as “baseless gossip” and “fiction spun from pictures,” stressed that they were deliberately circulated to discredit his family. He said he had chosen to remain silent initially but decided to respond as the rumours spiralled.
