Borno Police Command Nabs Woman For Alleged Stabbing Of Pregnant Victim In Maiduguri

The Borno State Police Command has arrested a woman accused of stabbing a five-month pregnant woman during an attack in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The incident, which happened on Monday, October 20, around 1:30 p.m., in Njentilo area of Maiduguri, was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Tuesday.

According to Makama, the suspect, identified as Halima Ali Maina, 20, from Polo area, allegedly entered the victim’s room without permission and attacked her with a knife.

The victim, Aisha Musa, sustained multiple stab wounds to her stomach, chest, back, and face.

Police officers later arrested the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the attack.

Sources said the case is being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for culpable homicide and grievous hurt.
