The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, while rescheduling its ward congresses to February 18 and the national convention to March 27–28, 2026.
The party also announced the exclusion of Osun, Ekiti and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from the state congresses due to impending elections, while Rivers State was excluded because of the subsisting tenure of its current party executives.

The decisions were disclosed in a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, following the 183rd meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to the statement, the extension of the electronic membership registration from January 31 to February 8, 2026, was approved after appeals from party stakeholders, to allow more supporters and members to register and validate their membership on the party’s digital platform.

“The electronic membership registration exercise has been extended from 31st January 2026 to 8th February 2026, following requests from Party stakeholders,” the statement said.
It added that the ward congresses will now hold on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the APC National Convention has been rescheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026.

The NWC also confirmed that the National Convention Planning Committee has been duly constituted, noting that comprehensive details regarding the adjusted congress timetable, schedule of activities, and the composition of the planning committee will be communicated later.
The adjustments are part of the APC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen internal party processes and ensure smooth coordination ahead of its major national activities.
