Following the APC’s successful victory in the Edo governorship election, the party is poised to maintain its hold in Ondo and aims to unseat the APGA in Anambra, according to Ganduje.
On Monday, September 23, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC, announced that after the party’s recent success in Edo state, they are well-prepared to secure the governorship position in Ondo come November.
He highlighted the party’s commitment to intensify efforts next year to displace the APGA in Anambra and to broaden its presence in the southeastern region.
βWe have started working to develop strategies to win these states. Next year, Anambra State will follow. Let me remind you that we have a project which we named political demarginalisation of South East geo-political zone.β
βThat project is also a task that must be done. We will face the south-east zone with five states. We already have 2, but 2 is too small for a big party like ours. We will face that state and see how we can recover many states in our favour.β
