The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set its sights on recruiting over 20 million members nationwide, as the party’s ongoing membership e-registration continues to record massive growth.
The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, disclosed that the party has already surpassed 11 million registered members and is rapidly approaching the 12 million mark.
“We are targeting over 20 million members; we have already crossed 11 million and are closing in on 12 million. We are not closing our registration,” Yilwatda said.
He emphasized that the party has no plans to halt the registration exercise, noting that the e-registration platform remains open to accommodate more Nigerians interested in joining the ruling party.
The APC membership e-registration initiative is part of efforts to digitize party records, strengthen internal democracy, and expand the party’s grassroots presence ahead of future electoral contests.
Political analysts say the rising membership figures reflect intensified mobilization efforts and growing competition among parties to consolidate support across the country.
