Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has flagged off the distribution of relief supplies, consists of a 25 kg bag of rice, a carton of pasta, and a cash amount of N10,000 to those affected by the severe flooding in Maiduguri, who are currently sheltered in approximately 36 camps.
The flag-off ceremony was held on Monday at Bakasi camp, located along Damboa Road in Maiduguri.
In addition, Zubaida Umar, the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), emphasized the efforts made by her agency to support those affected by the flood disaster.
