BUA Foods Plc has posted robust financial results for the first half of 2025, reporting a revenue of ₦912.5 billion—marking a 36% increase from ₦672.4 billion in the same period last year. The company also recorded a 101% year-on-year rise in Profit Before Tax (PBT), reaching ₦276.1 billion.
The figures were disclosed in the company’s unaudited financial results filed with the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), reflecting solid growth across all its product segments: Sugar, Flour, Pasta, and Rice.
Of particular note was the Rice Division, which recorded a staggering 2923% increase in revenue, climbing from ₦1.3 billion in H1 2024 to ₦39.3 billion in H1 2025—highlighting the impact of BUA’s recent investment in the local rice value chain.
Gross Profit rose by 55% to ₦339.3 billion, pushing the gross margin to 37.2%, up from 32.4% in the previous year. Operating Profit was ₦284.8 billion, a 41% increase, while Earnings per Share (EPS) nearly doubled from ₦7.27 to ₦14.45.
Total equity surged by 60.6% to ₦689.1 billion, and total assets expanded by 21.7%, now standing at ₦1.33 trillion. Meanwhile, total liabilities declined slightly by 3.4% to ₦644.1 billion.
Commenting on the performance, Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc, Engr. (Dr.) Ayodele Abioye, attributed the impressive results to strategic investments and disciplined execution.
