BREAKING: Dangote Announces New Fuel Price

In what many are calling the “miracle of the year,” the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) has dropped dramatically to ₦450 per litre following a surprise announcement by the Dangote Refinery earlier this morning.

In a move that stunned oil marketers and thrilled millions of Nigerians, Aliko Dangote declared a complete restructuring of his refinery’s pricing system, introducing what he called “People-Friendly Processing Charges” (PFPC).

“We have heard the cries of the people,” Dangote said at a press briefing in Lagos. “Effective today, we’re slashing refining and distribution charges across board. Let Nigerians breathe.

Fuel stations across the country erupted into frenzy as long queues reappeared—not out of scarcity, but pure excitement. Some motorists were seen hugging fuel attendants, while others danced Azonto near their tanks.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) commended the move, releasing a brief statement:

“We are as shocked as you are. Let’s all enjoy it while it lasts.”

Black market vendors, on the other hand, were spotted in street corners whispering, “You fit believe this guy?” while trying to offload old stock at “vintage rates.”

Social media exploded with reactions under the trending hashtag: #DangoteDidIt, as many called for a national holiday to mark what one user described as “the second independence of Nigeria.”CONTINUE READING
