President Donald Trump was seemingly dealt a massive insult by Chinese President Xi Jinping upon his arrival in China for his meeting with the world leader.
What was touted as a high-stakes meeting was seemingly downgraded when President Trump stepped off Air Force One and was greeted by Vice President Han Zheng instead of Xi.
Accompanying Zheng were U.S. Ambassador to China, David Perdue, Chinese Ambassador Xie Feng and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu.
The quartet, which greeted Trump and several members of America’s corporate elite, also brought 300 Chinese youth, a military band, and an honor guard.
While the White House has called the welcoming party a “red carpet treatment,” the absence of the country’s leader sticks out like a sore thumb.
It comes as the Chinese people give Trump a savage nickname as he touches down in Beijing.Get The Full, Details. .
