BREAKING: Double Tragedy Strikes Senator Abba Moro’s Family — Son, Grandson Die Within 48 Hours

A heavy pall of grief has enveloped the family of the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, following the death of his son and grandson in separate tragic incidents barely 48 hours apart.

According to reports, one of the lawmaker’s grandsons died on Friday at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja after a brief illness. Less than a day later, another tragedy struck when Senator Moro’s son, identified as Mr. Peter Moro, lost his life in a fatal auto crash on Saturday evening.

Family sources disclosed that the late Peter had only recently returned from Turkey and was preparing for mobilisation into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) before the tragic accident occurred.

As of press time, no official statement had been issued by the Senator’s office, but the sombre news has triggered an outpouring of sympathy from across the country. Colleagues in the National Assembly, political associates, and constituents of Benue South have all expressed deep sorrow, describing the double tragedy as “a pain beyond words.”

Senator Abba Moro, who represents Benue South Senatorial District, is a former Minister of Interior and one of the leading voices of the opposition in the 10th Senate.
