BREAKING: Edo State PDP Pioneer Chairman Dies

The pioneer chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Chief Solomon Aguele, has passed away.

Aguele, who led the party in the state from 1999 to 2007, was described as a dedicated leader whose contributions shaped the early years of the PDP in Edo.

In a statement signed by the state’s caretaker chairman, Anthony Aziegbemi, the PDP praised the late Aguele for his steadfastness and service.

“Chief Aguele was a committed leader whose wisdom and devotion to democratic ideals laid the strong foundation upon which our party continues to stand today,” the statement read. “His leadership during the formative years of our great party in Edo State was pivotal to the growth and successes recorded.”

The party extended condolences to Aguele’s family, friends, political associates, and supporters, noting that he would be remembered for his humility, loyalty, and enduring contributions to both the PDP and the development of Edo State.
