The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), for questioning.
Malami confirmed the development in a statement released on Friday, saying he is prepared to fully cooperate with the anti-graft agency.
According to him, “This is to confirm that I have been invited by the EFCC. As a law-abiding and patriotic citizen, I hereby reaffirm my commitment to honour the invitation.”
The former AGF noted that his decision to appear before the EFCC aligns with the values he has always championed in public office.
“I understand the spirit of accountability and transparency in public service — the principles that I both advocate and champion,” he said.
Malami added that he remains committed to keeping Nigerians informed as events unfold.
“Rooted in public service and in the spirit of transparency and accountability, I am committed to sharing with the Nigerian public the developments as they unfold,” he stated.
