The Federal Government has ordered the immediate closure of 47 Federal Unity Colleges across the country following rising security threats in several regions, LeadNaija News reports.
The directive was issued through an official circular dated 21st December 2025 from the Federal Ministry of Education, signed by Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, Director of Senior Secondary Education, on behalf of the Honourable Minister of Education.
According to the circular, the decision became necessary due to “recent security challenges in some parts of the country and the need to prevent any security breaches.”
