Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has signed the Senior Citizens Bill into law, granting wide-ranging welfare benefits to elderly residents of the state.
The newly enacted law entitles Abia indigenes aged 60 years and above to free monthly stipends, free medical care, and other social welfare benefits for the rest of their lives, according to details made public on the policy.
