Atleast two persons were killed and five others injured when unidentified gunmen attacked a mining site at Woko Village in Borgu Local Government Area.
Security sources said the incident occurred on Oct. 11 at about 5:30 p.m.
The sources said the victims killed in the attack were identified as Kabiru Gambo, aged 44, from Zamfara State, and one Dafwan (surname unknown), aged 35, from Sabon-Pegi.
The sources added that policemen were immediately mobilised to the scene, while the corpses and injured victims were taken to the General Hospital, Wawa, where the deceased were confirmed dead and the injured are responding to treatment.
