A statement by the Force notes that to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free festivity, the IGP directs Commissioners of Police and Tactical Commanders to implement robust security measures across the country.
The strategy includes the deployment of tactical teams, intelligence operatives, and the Special Intervention Squad to Eid prayer grounds and other critical locations.
Security presence is intensified on highways, motor parks, recreational centres, and major public spaces.
The police boss further orders heightened visibility policing, coordinated patrols, enhanced surveillance, and intelligence-led stop-and-search operations to deter crime and ensure swift response to any threat.
