BREAKING: INEC Begins Online Pre-Registration for Voters: Physical Registration Starts August 25

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has launched the online pre-registration phase for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) ahead of the 2027 general election. Nigerians can now register via the INEC portal, ensuring participation in the democratic process.

Online pre-registration has commenced via the INEC portal for first-time voters.Applicants can fill in their details and request PVC replacements or updates.

In-person registration starts August 25 at INEC state offices and LGAs.

INEC warns against multiple registrations; violators will face penalties.The CVR exercise will last for several months, with a preliminary voter register published for public scrutiny.
