The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced the cancellation of its sit-at-home order across the South-East, following a directive from its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In a statement issued on Saturday, IPOB said the decision was taken after Kanu instructed the group’s leadership to suspend the sit-at-home action in the interest of peace, stability, and the resumption of normal economic activities in the region.
According to the group, the directive underscores Kanu’s concern for the welfare of residents and businesses affected by repeated shutdowns linked to the order.
“The leadership received a clear directive from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to immediately cancel the sit-at-home, so that our people can go about their lawful activities without fear,” the statement said.Get The Full, Details. .
