The Kwara State branch of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) yesterday commenced an indefinite strike over alleged failure by the state government to implement upward review of their emoluments since 15 years ago.
When The Hope visited the State High Court premises yesterday at 11:00 am the gate was under heavy lock. Other Judiciary Staff were locked out just as the unsuspecting ones who had managed to get to their duty posts before the enforcement of the strike were driven out of their offices.
The local JUSUN Chairman Habbiu Ikokoro said the strike was long overdue as his members remain the least paid workers in the country.
