Recall that the Kano State Government had since yesterday 1st of August 2024 imposed 24 hours Curfew in the state due to the insecurity violence, looting and destroying of properties as a result of Hunger Dey Protest
Earlier today the Kano State Government has again announced a relaxation of the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state.
Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Haruna Isah Dederi, made the announcement on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
According to Dederi, the curfew will now be observed from 5pm to 12pm, allowing Muslim faithful to attend Friday prayers.
“We pray that God will continue to protect us in all our endeavours,” he added.
The initial 24-hour curfew was imposed following the escalation of nationwide protests into looting and vandalism of public and private properties in the state.
