The traditional ruler of Bayagan in Kwara State’s Ifelodun local government area, Alhaji Kamilu Salami, who holds the title of Ojibara, has escaped captivity along with six other victims.
According to reliable community sources, the monarch and the six captives from a nearby community managed to flee when vigilante groups mounted an aggressive assault on the bandits’ hideout in the forest.
