The Permanent Secretary of the General Services Office (GSO) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri, OON, FCA, NPOM, has officially retired from the Federal Civil Service.
Dr. Mbaeri, a seasoned technocrat and distinguished public servant, formally handed over the reins of the GSO to Mr. Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma, FCNA, the current Permanent Secretary of the Special Services Office, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The handover ceremony, held in Abuja, marked the end of Dr. Mbaeri’s illustrious career in public service, where he earned multiple national honours and professional recognitions.
With his retirement, Mr. Danjuma will now oversee the affairs of the General Services Office in an acting capacity, pending substantive appointment by the Presidency.
Colleagues and dignitaries at the brief event praised Dr. Mbaeri for his dedication, integrity, and invaluable contributions to administrative governance over the years.
