Former women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Hajia Muslimat Ibrahim Jimba, has died, aged 68.
A statement signed by the PDP State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, described Hajia Jimba’s death as devastating and unfortunate, especially at a time when the party is navigating towards 2027 and would have greatly benefited from her wealth of experience and political sagacity.Tap Here for the Full Story
“Hajia Muslimat Ibrahim Jimba was a patriot and a compassionate mother who exemplified strength and courage in leadership. She was a brilliant entrepreneur, sagacious politician and a courageous advocate for women and girl-child education and empowerment.
“Her contributions to the PDP in Kwara State and the state’s democratic progress are immeasurable. She dedicated her life to the advancement of women in politics and society, ensuring that their voices were heard and their rights protected.
“Despite her remarkable achievements, she remained humble and calm throughout her political journey, earning the respect and admiration of many.”
Sholyment said, “As a party, we are deeply devastated by this monumental loss, but we take solace in the impactful and gracious life she lived. We implore all those touched by her passing to find comfort in the legacy she left behind.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to her immediate family, her children, grandchildren and particularly Jimba community, and all who mourn her. May Almighty Allah grant us all the fortitude to bear this loss and grant her a befitting place in Jannah,” the statement added.
